US-based funding agency GQG Companions on Wednesday offered a 1.8 per cent stake in airports operator GMR Airports to Constancy Worldwide for Rs 1,906 crore via open market transactions.

Rajiv Jain-backed GQG Companions, via its affiliate GQG Companions Rising Markets Fairness Fund offloaded 19.50 crore shares representing a 1.85 per cent stake in GMR Airports, in keeping with block deal information obtainable on the NSE.

The shares had been disposed of at a median value of Rs 97.75 apiece, taking the transaction worth to Rs 1,906.12 crore.
