Hearth damages roof of Rio’s Olympic velodrome

A fireplace on the velodrome in Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park was introduced beneath management early on 8 April, with no threat of it spreading to different elements of the advanced and no accidents reported, fireplace officers stated.

Round 80 firefighters and 20 fireplace vans tackled the blaze, the state’s army fireplace division stated in a press release, including that nobody was harm.

The velodrome was constructed for the 2016 Rio Olympics and is run by the town authorities. It homes the Olympic Museum, which options displays and historic artifacts from the Video games, together with the Olympic torch and medals.

In 2017, its roof was struck by two fires, inflicting minor injury.
