Federal Choose Removes Rikers Island From Metropolis Management

A federal choose on Tuesday formally seized management of Rikers Island from New York Metropolis, ordering the appointment of an impartial supervisor to supervise the infamous jail advanced that has been stricken by studies of violence, ailing therapy, and inmate deaths.
