Daniyal Mueenuddin reads his story “The Golden Boy” from the December 1, 2025, challenge of the journal. Mueenuddin is the writer of the story assortment “In Different Rooms, Different Wonders,” which was revealed in 2009 and gained each the Story Prize and the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize. His first novel, “That is The place the Serpent Lives,” from which this story was tailored, will probably be revealed in January.
