Automobile takeover of Maspeth streets angers residents, police seek for suspects
MASPETH, Queens (WABC) — Days after practically 100 automobiles took over an intersection in Queens, officers with the NYPD have launched new footage of the suspects they’re on the lookout for.
The drivers took over an intersection in Maspeth, Queens over the weekend, blocking site visitors and performing harmful stunts round a hoop of fireplace on the street.
Police say eight folks in complete are answerable for creating the chaos over the weekend. They are saying it wasn’t solely disorderly, it was harmful.
Some neighbors had been outraged that their intersection at 69th Avenue and Elliott Avenue noticed open flames so shut to 2 gasoline stations.

Officers mentioned they arrived inside minutes to interrupt up the damaging scene.
At one level, two males jumped onto the hood of a marked NYPD automobile, inflicting injury and cracking the windshield.
Fortunately, nobody was harm.
New York Metropolis Council member Phil Wong, who represents the district, says he’ll meet with Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Tuesday.
“We by no means had sufficient law enforcement officials so after I meet with the commissioner tomorrow I’ll make that request,” Wong mentioned. “We’d like extra law enforcement officials and patrol automobiles.”
Officers are asking if anybody acknowledges any of the eight suspects to name police.
