MEXICO CITY — An earthquake with a magnitude of seven.6 shook the Caribbean Sea southwest of Cayman Islands on Saturday, in accordance with the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck at 6:23 p.m. native time and had a depth of 10 kilometers, the USGS stated. Its epicenter was positioned 130 miles (209 kilometers) south-southwest of George City within the Cayman Islands.
The U.S. Nationwide Tsunami Warning Heart stated a tsunami was not anticipated.
