Supplies seized from residence of recent NYPD commissioner Tom Donlon – NBC New York
Federal brokers seized supplies from the house of recent NYPD interim commissioner Tom Donlon on Friday, lower than two weeks after New York Metropolis’s earlier police commissioner resigned.
Donlon confirmed Saturday evening that the FBI searched his Higher East Aspect residence a day earlier. Two sources aware of the investigation instructed NBC New York that supplies had been seized as a part of the search.
Information 4 was instructed that the search gave the impression to be in relation to Donlon’s previous work in nationwide safety, pre-dating his latest appointment atop the NYPD. One supply stated federal investigators had been wanting into whether or not he improperly saved any labeled paperwork or delicate supplies at his residence from when he served with the FBI and the state workplace of Homeland Safety.

Donlon added that the search was “not a division matter, and the division won’t be commenting.”

Donlon took over as police commissioner after town’s earlier high cop, Edward Caban, resigned on Sept. 12 after federal brokers seized his cellphone within the midst of an ongoing federal investigation. Caban has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
