At the least 2 hospitalized after carbon monoxide scare forces out Brooklyn households – NBC New York

At the least two folks remained hospitalized early Monday, hours after a carbon monoxide leak spewed fumes all through a three-family Brooklyn dwelling late Sunday, authorities say.
In response to investigators, a 17-year-old woman and a 25-year-old lady each felt woozy round 11 p.m. on the dwelling, on West Sixth Road, between Avenue U and Avenue T in Gravesend. They advised different relations, who referred to as 911.
Responding officers suspected carbon monoxide, evacuated the house and referred to as the hearth division.
A dozen folks needed to go away. Eight of them had been taken to hospitals, however some went with relations; not all had been symptomatic.
The FDNY did some testing and located elevated ranges of carbon monoxide.
It wasn’t clear if there have been carbon monoxide detectors within the dwelling.
