State of emergency lifted after Memorial Day weekend civil unrest in Wildwood, New Jersey

WILDWOOD, New Jersey — Wildwood police say they’ve now lifted the state of emergency that was put in place within the Jersey Shore neighborhood Sunday evening.

The transfer to shut the boardwalk got here after what authorities say had been quite a few incidents of civil unrest.

The state of emergency was issued simply after 12 a.m. Monday morning.

Authorities say the emergency measure was capable of successfully tackle the issue, and thank shore guests and residents for dealing with the inconvenience.
