NYC’s chief authorized counsel Lisa Zornberg steps down from Adams’ workplace week after FBI raids properties of mayor’s high aides
Lisa Zornberg, New York Metropolis Corridor’s chief counsel, is leaving her put up in Eric Adams’ administration — simply days after NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban resigned as the town’s high cop, she introduced late Saturday.
Zornberg has served because the lead lawyer for the mayor and Metropolis Corridor since July 2023.
Her sudden departure comes as federal investigators have zeroed in on members of Adams’ interior circle and different allies.
“I’m deeply grateful to Mayor Adams for giving me the chance to serve the town, and I strongly assist the work he has executed and continues to do for New Yorkers,” Zornberg stated in a press release, Pix11 reported.
Adams thanked Zornberg and stated he plans to announce her substitute within the coming days.
“We respect all of the work Lisa has executed for our administration and, extra importantly, the town over the previous 13 months. These are laborious jobs and we don’t count on anybody to remain in them endlessly,” Hizzoner stated.
