New York Metropolis set to shut final migrant resort, ‘Row Lodge’ in Midtown, Manhattan

Town won’t renew the contract for the Row Lodge on eighth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. The lease expires in April.
MIDTOWN, Manahttan (WABC) — New York Metropolis is about to shut the final resort used to deal with migrants who crossed the southern U.S. border and had been bused north.
Town won’t renew the contract for the Row NYC Lodge on Eighth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The lease expires in April.
The Row was the primary resort utilized by the town to absorb the migrants, who began arriving within the metropolis in droves three years in the past, after shelters reached capability and the town regarded for housing options.
Mayor Eric Adams launched a press release in regards to the shelter closing saying that the town has “efficiently helped greater than 200,000 migrants go away the shelter system and take the following step towards self-sufficiency.”
