Funeral to be held for former Rep. Charles Rangel at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan

NEW YORK (WABC) — A last farewell might be held Friday for late Congressman Charles Rangel.

His funeral might be held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown at 9:45 a.m.

The service is open to members of the general public, they’re requested to reach by 9 a.m. Doorways will shut at 9:45 a.m., or when full capability is reached.

Mayor Eric Adams and Governor Kathy Hochul are just some of the general public officers set to attend the funeral.

Rangel was mendacity in state at New York Metropolis Corridor the previous two days.

It is an honor that is been reserved for only a few folks over time like former presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.

Rangel spent almost 5 a long time in Congress, was a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, and was the primary Black Home member to chair the Methods and Means Committee.

He died on Could 26 on the age of 94.
