European shares largely flat forward of Powell’s speech By Reuters

(Reuters) – European shares have been largely flat on Friday as buyers performed it protected forward of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s speech later within the day.

The pan-European index was up 0.1% at 516.28 factors by 0709 GMT, after hitting its highest degree this month within the earlier session.

The benchmark was set to achieve for a 3rd straight week, the longest weekly streak in almost 5 months.

Traders will maintain a eager eye on Powell’s remarks on the Jackson Gap symposium in Wyoming, due at 1400 GMT, for any clues on the tempo and timing of U.S. fee cuts.
