Division of Investigation probes NYC Sheriff Anthony Miranda over unlicensed smoke retailers, money seized
NEW YORK (WABC) — Town’s Division of Investigation has began wanting into New York Metropolis Sheriff Anthony Miranda.
The main target of the probe is Miranda’s enforcement of unlicensed smoke retailers, how money is seized throughout the investigations and his position within the Nationwide Latino Officers Affiliation.
Miranda is chair of the Nationwide Latino Officers Affiliation and metropolis investigators are searching for any connection between donations to the group and enforcement by the company.
Investigators are additionally wanting into how money from the companies is seized and invoiced throughout operations, following complaints from the smoke retailers and their legal professionals.
