Carrie Everett: Former Miss North Carolina, NC Central scholar dies after signet ring cell carcinoma most cancers analysis

DURHAM, N.C. — Former Miss North Carolina 2024 Carrie Everett died Monday morning after being recognized with most cancers.

In line with her household, Everett, 22, died within the Seattle space surrounded by household and associates.

Everett was recognized in 2024 with an aggressive type of most cancers referred to as signet ring cell carcinoma. Shortly after her analysis, Everett returned dwelling to Washington state to be with household.

The pageant winner was a scholar at North Carolina Central College in Durham.

Everett spoke to ABC affiliate WTVD in September when she talked about she was enthusiastic about returning to Durham to proceed faculty, regardless of her sickness.
