Berkshire Hathaway sells $39.8 mln of shares in China’s BYD
Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has bought 1.3 million Hong Kong-listed shares of EV maker BYD for HK$310.5 million ($39.8 million), a inventory alternate submitting confirmed on Monday.
Berkshire’s holdings in BYD’s issued H-shares have been lowered to six.90% from 7.02% following the sale on June 11, in line with the submitting with the Hong Kong inventory alternate.
BYD is likely one of the funding conglomerate’s few non-U.S. investments. It was finalized in 2008, although Berkshire started decreasing that stake in 2022.
