Arrest made in North Carolina for homicide of New Jersey girl 35 years in the past

VERNON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WABC) — An arrest was made in North Carolina for the homicide of a lady from New Jersey 35 years in the past.

New DNA proof hyperlinks Robert McCaffrey, 54, to the demise of Lisa McBride in Vernon Township.

McCaffrey can also be suspected within the disappearance of his spouse, Marjorie, who vanished 12 years in the past.

Her sister hopes McCaffrey’s arrest on this case will result in extra prices.

McCaffrey has but to be transferred to New Jersey.

McBride was discovered by a hunter 4 months after her disappearance in 1990.
