Amy Woolard joins Kevin Younger to learn “By way of Negativa,” by Charles Wright, and her personal poem “Late Shift.” Woolard’s début poetry assortment, “Neck of the Woods,” received the 2018 Alice James Award. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Nationwide Endowment for the Arts, the Vermont Studio Heart, and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Convention. She’s additionally a civil-rights legal professional and the chief program officer for the A.C.L.U. of Virginia.
