Kamlesh Chandra Varshney reappointed as Sebi whole-time member

Mumbai: The Appointments Committee of the Cupboard has accepted the reappointment of Kamlesh Chandra Varshney as a whole-time member (WTM) of the Securities and Change Board of India (Sebi), extending his tenure past September 19.

In keeping with an order issued by the Division of Personnel and Coaching on September 15, Varshney will proceed as a Sebi whole-time member till he attains the age of 65 years on August 4, 2029, or till additional orders, whichever is earlier.

A 1990-batch Indian Income Service officer, Varshney, took cost as a whole-time member in September 2023.


At current, Sebi has three complete time members .
