Con Edison says it’s investigating after a yellow SUV taxi cab obtained caught dangling above a manhole in Instances Sq. Thursday night time.
Video confirmed the cab caught over a manhole with steam popping out, at West forty second Avenue and Broadway round 7 p.m. A vent appeared lodged underneath the entrance tires.
The cab driver and a passenger weren’t harm, officers mentioned.
It is unclear at this level what brought on the incident. The realm was shut down Friday as crews labored on repairs.
